Wheatus - Teenage Dirtbag.
Gender: - From a males perspective.

Age: Set in a high school (14-18). There is a common theme of the music video which is romance, relating to the stereotypes of younger people loving sex.

I believe the song 'teenage dirtbag' by wheetus falls under the category of 'personal relationships/social interaction' in the gratification theory as the song has a clear story line of a boy who is in love with a girl that is, supposedly' not into him. This is further proven by the lyrics of the song in which he states that "she doesn't give a damn about who i am."
i believe the artist deliberately decided to theme his song and music video around this to appeal to a teenage audience as teenagers are stereo-typically seen as hormonal and sexual.
I believe Wheetus falls under either the struggler or the reformer. I say this because he calls him self a 'dirtbag' multiple times through out the song possible suggesting that he sees him self below everyone else.
He also falls under the aspire as through out the music video he is seen trying to get the attention of a girl in his school possibly implying that he only cares for imagine.
