Screenshot and description of the steps involved in website construction, including layout design, choice of font, font colour and text hierarchy, links to other sites e.g. social media, record label, etc
COLOUR - I have decided to change my font colour scheme into white and yellow to match it to my music video font. The main colour scheme on the first page is fairly dark due to the fact that used pictures of one of the artist shot at night to add a more mature feel. I feel dark colours along with the contrast of the yellow font fits the brand much more effectively and is now much more convincing and professional.
The second page i used a different picture of younger artist (being me). But this time the picture has brighter and more vibrant colours as well as the picture of the artist looking happy in comparison to the artist in the previous page.
In my second page i decided to have brighter more vibrant colours to contrast the first page to add a dynamic feel of tone as well as appeal to the younger and perhaps female audience.
FONT - I chose a serif font due to the fact that it appears more traditional and formal, also looking sharp and adding to the idea that the music video is serious and mature. It is similar to the 'courier' font which is used in my music video, therefore this creates a sense of branding across the music video and the website.
I used the exact same colour and font on my text on my website and music video which was 'Rosewood' with a yellow colour scheme to show the connectivity between my website and music video.
IMAGES - I chose certain images on my website due to the fact that I wanted it to appear as though they are professional artist but with a personal touch. Young people nowadays enjoy being able to relate and interact with people they like (which is why YouTubers are so successful) therefore I wanted to create a sense of family rather than the idea that they are just friends.
I included a photo of my artist within a street as this creates an element of 'behind the scenes' and can therefore make the audience feel that they are getting a deeper insight into the making of the album, possibly building more excitement too.
I also hosted a mini photo shoot as I wanted to use a high quality image to create a sense of professionalism, and therefore it presents them as a successful artist who has been in photo shoots. In this image there is no direct address which is important as it still keeps it informal. However in the other image on the next page there is to add contrast.
I copied and pasted the same title that i used in my music video in my website to add that extra bit of connectivity between the two media forms.
LAYOUT - i chose to have multiple areas of the website be a button onto the next page to increase accessibility.
for example all of the logos are links unto the next page and vice versa.
I kept similar themes, colours and tone from my music video to my second page as the use of the rosewood font and yellow colour is a repeating themes throughout as it is vibrant and stands out.
The bottom of the page has the necessary social media platforms with links to actual social media accounts for any audiences who are more curious and want to get a more in depth perception of the artists. i also incorporated a button in which allows viewers to quickly go to the top of the page if the click the button to help fasten the traversability of the web page.
Implementing the final music video was important as i wanted it to be on the first page so it is the first thing that audiences notice when the scroll down so it stands out and can be easily access through the website as oppose to audiences having to go all the way to youtube to view it.
I also made some trailers, which appear on the second page, for upcoming project from the team to engage audiences into the future of the brand. These self made trailers consist of 2 music videos that could potentially get released by the artist who are apart of the group.
