Construction - Logo design *

I first wanted to begin with developing a silhouette of an image that represented the name of my artist/ band.

On the left is an ideas for a logo that I designed. The first one (created in 3 different colour schemes) is fairly simple but sometimes simplicity can be more effective as it doesn't make the layout seem cluttered, and it is easy to understand.

I used an image of a micro phone as my main imagery as this relates directly to the name of my 
brand name which is '9 music'.

I used paint to create this logo. i used shapes to group them together to form a silhouette of whats supposed to be a microphone. I then used word art and a unique font type to have the brand name beneath it.

I then had to invert the colour scheme as i found out that the logo ended up blending in with the background of my website however i will still decide to use both logo depending on which is best appropriate within my music video website or documents.
